An Iorg-asm in Lexington

AAA: Round Rock blew a 6-3 lead, losing to Colorado Springs 8-7. The Express has now lost six of of its last seven games, with its lead over New Orleans shrinking to 8.5 games. Phillip Barzilla was the goat, allowing six hits and four runs in 1.1 innings. JR House continued to mash, going 3-4 with a home run, and Brooks Conrad was also 3-4.

AA: The Hooks fell four games behind San Antonio by losing 6-3 at home. Josh Anderson was the only player worth mentioning, going 2-4 with a triple. Hooks' batting practice was probably a pretty neat site, as their former teammate Matt Albers' first major league start was broadcast on the scoreboard while the Hooks' hitters took their cuts.

High A: Salem continued its roll by poaching the Penguins 3-1. Frankie Caraballo was 2-4 with his 11th home run, and Raymar Diaz had another very nice start for the Avalanche, who now lead their division by four games in the second half race.

Low A: The Legends sank into the divisional basement, losing 12-4 to Rome and allowing 19 hits and committing three errors in the process. Eli Iorg had an incredible night, going 5-5 and driving in all four Legends' runs.

Short Season A: Tri-City plucked the Ironbirds 9-1 behind three home runs, including one from red-hot Jordan Parraz. Chris Salamida earned his fifth win of the season with 5.2 good innings.

Rookie: The Astros lost to the Twins 4-2. LF Steve Brown upped his average to .330 with a 4-4 night.

Zobrist/Talbot Watch: Ben Zobrist was 0-3 with a K and reached on an error in his third big-league game. Aubrey Huff was 2-4 with a pair of singles to raise his average to .227.
