Mike Gallo's line from yesterday's game:
0.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 HR, 11.25 ERA.
Specifically, he gave up a bomb to noted slugger (and ninth in the order) Freddy Sanchez and a sharp single to Jack Wilson. You would think that after two-plus years of this sort of output, management would've figured out the undeniable fact that Mike Gallo cannot get anyone out. Ever.

The Rooster strutted through 4/3 IP last night, scattering 3 hits. The line for his last 4 outings: 3 IP 10 H 4 ER 1 HR 0 BB 0 K. That's sensational. And key FA acquisition TrevEr Miller is on the DL, so Gallo's job is clearly as safe Bidge's.
Say what you will about The Gas Can, it appears that he may finally be turning into that Lefty Specialist that we all knew he could be. RH batters are hitting .529 against him in 2006, while he's holding LH batters to a measly .400 batting avg.
I was about to stop, and then I glanced at his line for the SEASON:
5.2 IP 13 H 6 ER 2 BB 1 K
Rocket who?
I'm trembling with anger right now after looking at those stats. HOW DOES HE STILL HAVE A JOB ON A MAJOR LEAGUE ROSTER? This kind of incompetence in any other profession would not only get you fired; it would get you blacklisted from ever working in that field for the rest of your life.
