[Baseball America] Jeff Niemann On His Way
Nice to see that ex-Owl Jeff Niemann is moving up the charts in the Devil Rays organization. Niemann was about as dominating of a college pitcher as I remember seeing in the last ten years during the Owls' championship run a few years ago, but injury problems have plagued him since being drafted by Tampa Bay. Apparently his fastball is back up between 95-97 and his offspeed pitches are developing as well.

Niemann is a genuinly nice guy, we were in the same dorm at rice and had the same gym time as baseball, it's good to see he's getting back into form, hopefully he'll be on his way...then traded to the stros ;)
